Back to School, Forward in Life

Read until you reach what you do not know.

We’re about halfway through Back to School Month here at KnoYoBoE, and there’s still so much energy left to tap into. This month is for anyone who’s ready to keep learning, whether you’re in a classroom, working a job, raising a family, or just chasing something new.

🦉 The Symbol of the Month

This month’s KnoYoBoE logo which is a bold, vibrant red or white option, with a wise owl and open book, reminds us that knowledge is about collecting information AND using what we learn to navigate life better, to understand ourselves, and to live a mark worth remembering.

📚 Learn in Layers

Don’t try to master everything at once. Break your goals into smaller lessons. Read a chapter. Watch a short video. Read another chapter. Apply one new idea before moving to the next. Read another chapter. Like stacking bricks, each piece builds a stronger foundation.

💬 Teach to Remember

One of the best ways to make something stick? Teach it. Explain what you’ve learned to a family member, a friend, a coworker, or even a child. The act of putting it into your own words deepens your understanding.

🌳 Change the Scene

If you always learn in the same spot, your focus can get stale. Take your reading to your porch, the park, review notes at a coffee shop, or listen to an educational podcast during a walk. Fresh surroundings can spark fresh thinking.

☕ Pair It With Pleasure

Link your learning with something you enjoy. Listen to an audiobook over your morning tea or coffee, during work outs or relaxing in the car. Write notes while sitting outside. Subscribe to a news outlet or a newsletter in your field. Make the process something you actually look forward to.

🗣️ Stay Curious About People

Some of the best lessons don’t come from books, they come from conversations. Ask thoughtful questions, listen deeply, and be open to the life experience of others.

We still have two full weeks of Back to School Month to go. That’s two more weeks to commit to your own learning journey, to explore ideas, and to sharpen your mind.
